I’ve used WEF canned foods and my crew loved it.

Unless there is an underlying problem for an individual dog, starch is starch to the body, a dog’s need for sugar is very small to nonexistant. Kibbles have 30% or more starch in them to act as a binder, so this alone is a high sugar diet for an animal that doesn’t need sugar. Usually the grain inclusive diets are the ones that have even more starch than the amount needed to make kibble, but that isn’t always the case, some grain frees are equally bad.
