Thanks for the link! Very interesting.

One thing I didn’t mention in my litter care reply. I know I wrote I go by odor when deciding when to dump the box, but if I were treating a UTI I would empty my litter each week for a month. Along with being extra diligent with scooping, for example if I was home I would check often to see if it needed scooping, I would also wash the box and scooper with a disinfectent to kill bacteria. I would do this to help with keeping the bacteria down and re-infecting him.

If you feel he is still having issues, if I were you, I would check in with my Vet and explain what I observe/suspect. He might have an additional treatment plan for you via a phone consultation. I just know from experience it’s important to stay ahead of UTI infections.
