Reply To: Cat food recommendations
One more thing, I just re-read your comment on some of the wet foods you want to try. I have actually tried a few you listed that I forgot about and maybe one that you might want to try in the future. Now this is just what I experienced with my cats. I thought the ingredients looked good on each food and I would recommend that anyone give them a try. I have tried Natural Life 95%, Variety, and Rachal Ray (with a coupon I got from her website).
I only tried the 95% beef and 95% turkey of the Nat’l Life because the other recipes included K3. Only one of my cats liked Nat’l Life. I tried Variety’s Salmon, Mom’s Turkey & Giblets, and Savanah Chicken Crockpot; they each smelled like human food. Only one cat liked them, but it gave him soft stools. Rachel Ray also includes K3 in all her wet recipes except for the chicken flavors and again only one cat liked RR. This also smelled good and seemed to be spiced like it would be for humans.
I believe my cats just want meat with no extra flavors in their canned foods. The one cat that liked each of these foods is not finicky. Have fun with your guy and I hope your mom will warm up to the idea of a new friend in the house!
