I’m sure a large part of the ease I have in dealing with my vet is that I know the language and have been to some of the exact same CE classes, so I can say “I know Hill’s says…, but this is what is going on with my dog, and that will not work for him because …” It would be a very rare vet visit that I am not the one telling them what they are testing my pet for or what I expect the results of those tests will be.
