Most veterinarians don’t mind if you request a follow up, quick recheck. My vet doesn’t charge for such. Often I just show up and they fit me in.
The symptoms you describe may be normal, part of the healing process, or not. Only an examining vet can determine, diagnose, prescribe treatment….
Just give him a call and see what is recommended.
