MemberSusan, he doesnāt use his wheelchair at home, as he mostly stay is in our room. She has never seen him in it. She was a stray, and she is close to due dateāa week or two most likely. She loves our guy friends. But the wierdest part is we have had her almost two months and she was just fine until these episodes. And he has arthrogryposis, basically, his joints are fixed in position, he canāt walk or use his hands/arms, which is why an aggressive dog is extremely dangerous in our home.

MemberJust returned home from staying with grandma in th er, to find that Lucy has snapped at him. Iām at my wits end! According to him he was just looking at her and said hi when it happened. Iām nearing the end of my rope here. He is the only one she is aggressive towards. If thatās any help.

MemberThanks for the help! She has been allowed in our room again, and is doing great! I think it was an isolated incident (probably from discomfort, sleepiness). So Iām gonna keep an eye on her mad make sure sheās as comfy as possible.

MemberTo answer obsessed no, he wasnāt petting her at all. He was getting ready to, and I just remembered that she was acting afraid of him at first. And just to be blunt; it is physically impossible for him to harm her; due to his disability. And youāre also correct about this being a happy accident. Iām also worried because she is so young, Iād say not even a whole year yet. I need to do some research on pregnant dogs, never had one, and cats are so different.

MemberI donāt think she will have very many. It was probably her first heat cycle, she seems very young; has a lot of behaviors most older dogs have been trained not to do, like taking food from the table. And sheās nearing the halfway point and her belly isnāt as big as I thought, as this is my first large breed. On a side note, what is a good flea remedy for her? Sheās been scratching so bad that she has cut her nipples.

MemberThanks for the help! And to answer your question Marie, she most likely was bred at her old home, as I personally never let her outside without me on the other end of the leash while she was in heat; I got her at the end of her heat cycle, so I am unsure as to what happened before then, as the person who gave her to me found her as a lost dog and couldnāt find the owner.

MemberJust picky, she wonāt eat kibble period; when I tried mixing it with wet she would eat the gravy off the kibble then spit it out. She will eat eventually, just wonāt eat everyday, she also lets the cats push her away from her food; and doesnāt like to be watched while she eats. So I am thinking of putting her in her own room or a crate for meals, just to be sure how much she eats⦠Any suggestions?
