Woman, 64, live with four rescue dogs; 3 over 15, one very fat and maybe 8. Rescued mother dog and two puppies. Also have one other dog. All house/yard dogs. All spoiled, even the rescue dogs. All sleep with me;0 Not much room. Live in San Antonio unfortunately and have just realized that when you are poor the only way to leave a place you dislike intensely is to move or die. Have served in USAF, Foreign Service(FS), worked at various and sundry other jobs since my first job at 15. Was disable while in the FS and as the saying goes, "Disability=Poverty" The rescue dogs are wonderful dogs, but having 8 dogs in a home with less than 1000 sf is having an effect on me. I haven't been doing much lately because my disability has flared and I fell while chasing one of my escapees who was chasing a giant German Shepherd and he's only 14 pounds. Lucky he's alive. So now my back which is mostly made of 'man' made items has been injured again and I can't walk my Fat Suzie. She weighs 46 pounds!!!!!! And she should weigh maybe 30. I'm confused because she only get a cup of food a day. Can dogs eat so much feces outside that they gain weight? What a question, but I have to ask. With our current deluge there is no way to pick up after the dogs that go outside. Some don't. Lovely. And the boys are having a contest to see who can pee on the bottom of the furniture the most. I scream a lot;-(
Guess that doesn't say much about myself. I don't get out much so don't have people over and my kids don't visit because they think I have too many dogs. Of MY four two were 'gifts' from my children. My dogs aren't very socialized and Suzie just loves people she is the best dog in the world.
