I am a true beagle lover! My first girl, Katie, lived to be 16 years old and died at home in our arms. About three years after we got Katie, Haley came along (thus the nickname Haleybop). Unfortunately, she died at nine due to cancer of the bladder, liver, pancreas, stomach and colon. It was devastating, as we had no idea she was so sick and only found out during exploratory surgery. We lost her in a matter of 18 days - from acting fine to just gone. ;-( We still had our happy, yet completely blind and deaf Katie for another three+ years. It then took another three years of grieving the loss of our girls until we rescued the love of our lives, Lexi (pictured). Her full name is Lexi Luther (for all you Superman fans out there - that's my hubby for ya). :-) I am disabled and stay home with my girl, Lexi, except for therapy so I'm always searching for ways to make her happier and healthier. I'm so thankful for this site and all of you!
