Reply To: Cat food recommendations
Thanks, BC nut, I will check out the meat next time I go to the store. Do I need to freeze it before feeding it? Assuming we’re killing bacteria or parasites by freezing?
Akari, I know you don’t want to spend the money if you don’t have to but I’d probably run the cat back to the vet, especially if your Mom says the pee smells bad. Or could you get a sample and bring it to the vet?
And give him more time with the new water bowl, my guys wouldn’t go near their fountain for a day and a half or so. I left it just sitting there, off, so they could check it out, then filled it. When they were comfortable drinking from it, then I plugged it in. He’s had an awful lot of changes lately, maybe he just needs more time. Who knows why he doesn’t like it, is it a plastic one? Maybe it smells a little funny to him? Or the motor’s making him a little nervous. Hang in there!
