for some reason i figured suburban gal would pop into this thread, and i also figured she’d disagree with everything anyone else said.

I would like to add one note-it doesn’t matter AT ALL how well trained your dog is. There is always, always, always a chance for a dog to be spooked, interested, or other reason for him to take off. Part of the reason I don’t use retractable. You never know. There is never a guarantee your dog won’t run, anyone who tells you otherwise is lying/inexperienced.
