December 19, 2010 — The Kroger Company has announced a voluntary dog food recall of certain packages of pet foods sold in some of its retail stores due to the possibility of contamination with aflatoxin.
Aflatoxin poses a dangerous and significant health risk to pets.

Aflatoxin is a dangerous chemical toxin produced as a by-product of the growth of the fungus Aspergillus flavus on contaminated cereal grains.

- Yellow-tinted eyes or gums
