I recently retired and just got back into dog ownership after a long hiatus. My dog is a Blue Picardy Spaniel, a breed better known in Canada and Europe. The breed history began when British hunters brought their English/Gordon Setters to northern France to hunt. These dogs were eventually bred in early 1900's with a French hunting dog, the Picardy Spaniel. The BPS breed is recognized by the SCC, FCI, CKC (Canadian KC), UKC, NAVHDA and ARBA. Sweet disposition, great hunter and a beautiful dog as well; plus being the smartest dog I've ever owned.
