Nestle Purina Buys Merrick Pet Care

July 21, 2015 — According to a Yahoo! news report, Nestle Purina PetCare Company has purchased Merrick Pet Care in a recent buyout agreement.

Merrick Pet Care was founded in 1988. The company is a leading producer of natural and organic pet foods.

Merrick’s foods are made in the USA. Most ingredients are grown by local farmers. And none are sourced from China.

After that, Merrick will continue to operate as an independent business. According to Purina, no changes are planned for Merrick’s management or operations.
