Background
Early in his career, Dr. Michels was hired as the primary care/nutrition intern at Kansas State University’s Veterinary Health Center, as part of a partnership with Hill’s Pet Nutrition that established a dedicated nutrition and obesity clinic for small animal patients. He oversaw the majority of patients enrolled in the K-State Obesity Clinic, consulting with board-certified veterinary nutritionists on complex cases.
Current Role At JustFoodForDogs, Dr. Michels is part of a veterinary team focused on research, feeding trials, and education in small animal nutrition.
