October 10, 2025 — Raw Bistro Pet Fare of Cannon Falls, Minnesota, is voluntarily recalling select lots of its Grass-Fed Beef Entrée frozen dog food because of possible contamination with Salmonella.

Why Was It Recalled?
The recall was initiated after a sample collected by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration tested positive for Salmonella. No illnesses, human or animal, have been reported to date in connection with this product.

About Salmonella
Salmonella can affect animals eating the product and there is risk to humans from handling contaminated products, especially if they have not thoroughly washed their hands after having contact with the products or any surfaces exposed to these products.
Healthy people infected with Salmonella should monitor themselves for some or all of the following symptoms: nausea, vomiting, diarrhea or bloody diarrhea, abdominal cramping and fever. Rarely, Salmonella can result in more serious ailments, including arterial infections, endocarditis, arthritis, muscle pain, eye irritation, and urinary tract symptoms. Consumers exhibiting these signs after having contact with this product should contact their healthcare providers.
Pets with Salmonella infections may be lethargic and have diarrhea or bloody diarrhea, fever, and vomiting. Some pets will have only decreased appetite, fever and abdominal pain. Infected but otherwise healthy pets can be carriers and infect other animals or humans. If your pet has consumed the recalled product and has these symptoms, please contact your veterinarian.
What to Do
Consumers who purchased the recalled product should:
- Stop feeding it to their pets immediately.
- Dispose of the product so that children, pets, and wildlife cannot access it.
- Do not donate the product.
- Clean and disinfect all surfaces and utensils that may have come into contact with the product.
- Contact Raw Bistro Pet Fare for a refund.

Reporting pet food problems
The FDA encourages consumers to report complaints about pet food products electronically through the Safety Reporting Portal. Additionally, consumers can visit the SmartHub – Safety Intake Portal – Report a Product Problem (fda.gov) to obtain electronic assistance with submitting a report.
Canadians can report any health or safety incidents related to the use of this product by filling out the Consumer Product Incident Report Form.
