I’ve used this food for almost 5 years and my dog’s lives have improved tremendously! My vet turned me on to this food when I switched to her and left my old vet. I have 3 dogs and each one had problems my old vet couldn’t help. Steroids, injections, pills, creams – prescription food – you name it! What a nightmare and it cost me literally $1000’s! After I switched to this food, tear stains went away, they stopped scratching themselves all the time and changed into robust playful puppies again. Now, once a year I take them to my vet and so far, year after year they get perfect blood panels! I love this company! It’s a big plus that Susan Thixton from Truth About Pet Food has them on her Most Trusted Dog Food list. She is amazing and so thorough and picky! I want to stick up for them because so many of my friends, neighbors & family have been buying food and snacks from this company for years. All of us love it and have never had a problem with their customer service. You can look on their website at all their helpful blogs and information and learn all about their ingredients. Also, their facebook page and website is full of 5 star reviews. Run by women and the real deal! I don’t write much on this forum except about this food because its really, really good!
SallynovaParticipanttry a food for picky dogs like Dogs For The Earth Organic dog food. sometimes dogs who won’t eat are more sensitive to the smell of processing or modified ingredients – we’ve been using this food for years and so are many of our friends and family and it’s great. They make treats too. It comes in a brown paper bag and our dogs love it so much all we have to do is crinkle a bag and they come running. Google them and see what you think.
SallynovaParticipantHello Karen,
Check out this page – if you read the whole thing you’ll not only know what to do – you’ll have a laughter, too!
http://www.dogsfortheearth.com/Behavior_Modification.htmlWe get all our organic dog food from this website, too.

September 22, 2014 at 2:14 am in reply to: HQ Food for picky 2 year old chihuahua #52680 Report AbuseSallynovaParticipantAll our family and friends use Dogs For The Earth organic dehydrated dog food. My sister started us all on it because her picky yorkie drove us all crazy until she discovered this food. They make really good treats, too. This is their website http://www.dogsfortheearth.com/Home_Page.php Their website is very informative and has taught me a lot about feeding our dogs. Our whole neighborhood uses it, we get regular shipments right to our house every 2 weeks.
SallynovaParticipantHello Ivan, consider nutrition and ingredients. You need to make sure you give your dogs proper nutrition to keep them strong and healthy. The best nutrition comes from the finest ingredients. In our family, we think fresh or dehydrated ingredients are the best because they are not processed. Any processed food will contain ingredients not good for your dog and repeated use over time will effect your dogs health and immune system. Although, processed kibble is so easy to use – it’s not a very good choice for your dogs. Also, any added preservatives or chemicals will have the same effect. I started learning a lot about dog food from this page http://www.dogsfortheearth.com/EarthDog_NEWS.html – if you read their whole website you will begin to think about feeding your dog logically. You’ll realize a lot of food out there was made for convenience (such as canned or kibble). You’ll also learn that our little friends have sensitive internal organs and skin and bodily functions that demand certain amino acids and vitamins and nutrients – just like us. So look for organic food that is dehydrated or frozen. Try to get dog food made from the best ingredients you can afford and not turned into kibble. This way you will be giving you dogs the best chance for long, healthy active lives. We use Dogs For The Earth organic dehydrated dog food and think it’s the best dog food out there.
SallynovaParticipantThe best treats we found are only 2 ingredients. Beef and blueberries or chicken and apples. They are 100% organic and human grade. They are dehydrated not processed like kibble and our whole neighborhood uses them. I think they also have chicken breast and rosemary or it might have been just a seasonal treat. You only get 10 in a bag but my sister’s yorkie only gets a quarter of a biscuit as a treat so they last. They do get crumbly sometimes but we pour out the crumbs from the bottom of the bag and add a little warm water. I’ve read so many posts tonight and just have to tell people about how good Dogs For The Earth food and treats are because everyone who uses their food sees such a difference in their dogs. Our family likes that everything is 100% organic because all of us only want organic food so we like it for our dog too.
August 17, 2014 at 3:59 am in reply to: New foods for chihuahua & italian greyhound? #49638 Report AbuseSallynovaParticipantHi! Just want to tell you that proper nutrition should be your ambition. It’s dog food and it has to have all the minerals and vitamins they need because it’s the only way to be sure they stay healthy. Everyone in our neighborhood uses the same food now – it’s called Dogs For The Earth. It’s dehydrated so there is no processing and it’s Organic – every ingredient is organic and the whole list of ingredients is on their web site. They tell you why each ingredient is in the food – what is does for dogs and they are owned by a scientist who is an animal nutritionist. We had dogs around here with so many allergies and problems and my sisters’ yorkie was the worst picky eater but now she runs into the kitchen whenever she hears the bag! After you read on their web site you’ll understand! http://Www.dogsfortheearth.com I try to tell everyone about this food because it’s pure and natural and dogs love it. But more importantly I’ve seen first hand how that makes such a huge difference.
August 17, 2014 at 3:42 am in reply to: Finding a dry food for a picky Yorkie with lots of food allergies #49637 Report AbuseSallynovaParticipantI forgot to mention if your dog suffers from allergies – make sure you do not use a kibble as the process of making kibble can cause allergies to get worse. Use a natural food and organic without any processing. So frozen or dehydrated is best and you’ll see a big difference. We use Dogs For The Earth dehydrated food – it solved all our problems in a week!
August 17, 2014 at 3:38 am in reply to: Finding a dry food for a picky Yorkie with lots of food allergies #49636 Report AbuseSallynovaParticipantThe best dog food and treats come from Dogs For The Earth. It’s 100% organic and dehydrated. Our whole neighborhood uses it now. Everybody talks about how good their dogs do on this food. If you go to their web site http://www.dogsfortheearth.com you can read about every single ingredient in the food and the company is owned by an animal scientist / nutritionist. I can’t tell you the amazing difference this food has made to so many dogs around here. They ship it to you and you can have a standard order. Ours comes every 2 weeks. Try it – your problems will be over.
October 11, 2013 at 5:31 am in reply to: What illnesses can cause dogs to be allergic? #26171 Report AbuseSallynovaParticipantSeriously, do yourself a favor and consider an all natural, organic, grain free food. We use Dogs For The Earth Dehydrated Organic Dog Food. I actually talked to the owner of this company who is an animal nutritionist and I will never switch foods again. Many, many health issues are cause by improper nutrition like skin sores, loss of hair, GI issues, itchy paws, goopy eyes – I was amazed at all the problems proper nutrition can solve – all my neighbors and friends have switched to this food and we have all been so happy. You should read their web about all the ingredients they use. We get our food delivered every 2 weeks and we get their treats too. I can’t remember all the stuff in it but everything is organic 100% and it’s all based an the exact nutritional requirements dogs need. It’s perfect – once you try it you’ll never switch back to anything because that’s what happened to all of us.
October 11, 2013 at 5:14 am in reply to: Training treat for small dog with stress colitis #26169 Report AbuseSallynovaParticipantDogs For The Earth Dehydrated Dog Food – if you buy the large bad and break off bits of the biscuits for treats. My dogs love this stuff and so do all my friends dogs and it is super healthy. They have I think 4 flavors and a couple different treats and my dogs go crazy any time they see their food packets. I know it’s all organic and they use human grade food and its grain free and its super healthy. I wish more people knew about this food because it has helped a lot of dogs with allergies and skin problems too. Best thing is to look on their site http://www.dogsfortheearth.com there’s so much information and it is owned by an animal nutritionist and they ship it everywhere. You can get it on amazon too but we get regular deliveries every 2 weeks. We love this food and try to tell everyone. I think your Little Bichon will love it too!
