    I am going to start to use DE it on myself after reading articles concerning parasites !
    Seems that if parasites are not killed in the intestine they can get into the blood stream and bore themselves into brains!
    So, my reason for using DE is for parasites, we don’t have a flea issue.

    COSTCO/KIRTLAND killing pets: Well I’ll share with you what NOT TO BUY. Stay away from Costco, they CLAIM to have products from the USA but I don’t believe it, maybe the mailing address for the profiteers is in the USA but their ‘treats’ are pure JUNK !! We bought their chicken jerky’s that were ‘USA” advertised, when we opened the package we almost got chemical burns in our noses !!!! Took it back and they treated my wife like there was something wrong with HER ! Found this about Costco foods KILLING PETS. http://www.consumeraffairs.com/pets/kirkland_pet_food.html

    BTW, I now taste everything new I feed my dog, we almost lost Bear, our Sheppard Mix due to bad food and I won’t allow it again. TASTE THOSE DOG TREATS, some have so many chemicals in them it will literally burn your tongue BUT YOUR DOG WILL STILL EAT THEM.

    This is why I joined this site, there needs to be REAL consumer protection with animal foods.

    Anyone with suggestions concerning other products available off the shelf products for joints and other senior issues?

    And do any of the brands contain Glucosamine/Chondroitin in them from the processor?

    EDITED: After reading Barb R’s excellent link I have to edit my original post below. It seems that DMV’s recommend DE for parasites in the gut etc. My neighbor however thinks feeding them DE is a way to treat for fleas. So I stand corrected and will share with her this wonderful link that Barb provided.

    {PUT IT ON DOG??? Oh my, my neighbor FEEDS it too them!! She mixes it in their food and told us about it and we told her we wouldn’t do that without a vets approval. Is it approved for mixing in feed?}
