MemberNo, not eye staining. I especially check out any stud dog I ever use to make sure his eyes are not runny, nor have I kept a puppy for show or breeding from my litters whose eyes were overly round, or teary – though teething puppies normally have some tearing.
You are right about Angel eyes – I use Tylan (its active ingredient) in their meals for 3 weeks 2x a year. (any dog over nine mos).Come to think of it, it’s that time – Thank you for the reminder – it’s Tylan time! I have wondered about discontinuing kibble – it will be a real inconvenience to change. Which raw do you prefer?October 26, 2014 at 3:48 pm in reply to: 7 week old Bichon pups – Is Orijen Puppy too rich? #55677 Report Abusepollypontifing
MemberThank you for your concern! I have ordered the NutriSource med to small Puppy –
do you think starting it half and half will be safe? It appears a lot softer mix than the Orjen.
The puppies are leaving in just over two weeks at ten weeks.October 25, 2014 at 9:24 pm in reply to: 7 week old Bichon pups – Is Orijen Puppy too rich? #55620 Report Abusepollypontifing
MemberI did not explain the whole story – sorry – the puppies are mine, and I started them on Orijen 3 weeks ago – ground it in my food processor, soaked it in 2 TBL water w/ added Goats milk esbilac and pablum. I’m still soaking it some. It’s been 3 weeks and it seems to be too rich. My last litter I started/fed Castor & Pollux and they did fine; but Orijen appeared to have the best ingredients of all. I want to use the very best for my puppies!
