if you’re on Facebook there is a raw feeding site devoted to it and they also have a Yahoo group. I can’t help with the Facebook link as I closed my account there but here is their Yahoo link

    https://groups.yahoo.com/neo/groups/rawfeeding/info

If you can’t get the link to work because the group is private try this: http://www.rawlearning.com

I’ll warn you though that this raw feeding group is about feeding whole, raw food such as beef heart, pork shoulder, whole raw chicken, goat legs, nothing is ground. Their theory is that this is how dogs have eaten over evolution and that kibble is awful for them.

I did it for a while but I have a great dane and it became too much for me to manage. I can say that he loved the whole pork shoulder and every once in a while I will still give him whole chicken quarters. The bones help keep his teeth clean.

I came here to post that one of the changes to Merrick Classic Dry is that they’ve downsized the bag to 25lbs. I get the food delivered from PetFlow, got an email from them today to say it changed. The price per pound from them went from $1.76 to $1.92.

I had no idea of these other issues though. I’ve fed Solid Gold in the past to my previous pups, looks like I’ll be going back to that and start looking for something else for my cats too.

Did anyone get the coupons in the Classic dry dog food bags for $3 off because they’re changing their look & ingredients? I just checked their website and they still claim to source locally and do not use ingredients from China. I don’t see where the recipe has changed yet but I haven’t purchased any since December

This is all news to me, I just started feeding my cats Canidae. Dang, having this website provides valuable info for finding the right food for my dog but there aren’t many out there like this for cats. I’ll be switching to something else.

I just found out about Merrick today and am so disappointed to read this. I’ve been feeding Merrick Classic dry to my great dane for a while now. Whole Farms canned as well for him and my cats. Dang
