The study is flawed, the author has corrected the panicked statement made by the FDA, and it’s restricted to certain brands. My dog had diarrhea and itching all over her body for a year, with a vet hawking Hill’s super expensive food, which made things worth. Finally looked at the label and discovered corn was the main ingredient. Switched to grain-free, and lo and behold? Symptoms gone. My dogs have all been on grain-free since, and have had numerous checks at the vet and guess what? Perfectly healthy! Put her back on a grained food – no corn – and the sores broke out on her tummy again. So yeah… Let’s not cause more panic. Check the brands listed and switch to a different brand of grain-free. I don’t use any of those brands.
The author of the study: “It’s not just grain-free”
