I usually compare cost on a calorie base. I know how many calories I feed my dogs per day. Usually dog food manufacturers tell you the calories per some measurement of weight and calories per cup or can. From there you can figure out how many servings are in a bag and do cost per serving, or just stick to cost per a certain amount of calories.
Crystal JMemberOh no! I guess kobe and kurobuta is of my list now. Have they always been cans through evangers?
Crystal JMemberI currently feed ziwipeak canned food and my boys love it.
Other pate styles I have also fed and would feed again are:
Wellness Core and 95%
Weruva kobe and kurobutaCrystal JMemberOne of my dogs, Victor, had a period of time where he wouldn’t eat breakfast. I found out that prefers a variety of textures and flavors of food throughout the day. Also, I found that he likes to eat dinner earlier than what I was feeding him at. Once I completely switched his food and started feeding him dinner earlier he started eating breakfast consistently. I know how worried I get when one of my pups won’t eat, I hope you find something that works for your pup.
Crystal JMemberThank you all for your replies. I feel more comfortable now. Both my dogs seem to do really well on this diet. I do also feed an egg or a little bit of meat sometimes. For treats I use Ziwipeak or Orijen treats, or bits of meat, I give veggies to Victor but Hitch won’t eat them, I give tiny bits of cheese to Hitch but not Victor because even the smallest bit gives Victor stomach issues.
