    I honestly wish I knew. My only guess is the quality of the ingredients. For example- if they all have chicken- is one Grade A chicken, another Grade B- etc? I don’t know if that is the case but that would be my guess. I figure if DFA gives it a 4 star or higher rating, it is a quality dog food. Wish I could be more help. I am still learning myself.

    Thanks for the suggestion. I will definitely keep it in mind. There is actually a couple that I think may work well for her and Zignature is one of them. I’m more trying to figure out the best method to transition her since I am completely out of the original one that she did ok on but just didn’t really like, and I wont give her anymore of the new one. I appreciate the info.

    I have been researching dog food extensively. One of the ones I decided to try for my Havanese who is fairly active is the Merrick Backcountry with Raw infused. It’s only been a few days but my girl loves this food. We were having trouble getting her to eat and now she’s barking and scratching at the bag constantly-lol.
