Thank you for the article, I was able to locate it and read over it.
/choosing-dog-food/menadione-in-dog-food/So according to the article:
1. There is no need for Vitamin K supplementation in a dogs diet as they have no need for it.
2. Menadione is banned from human consumption by the FDA because it causes damage to your bodies cells.
3. Menadione IV causes liver toxicity, jaundice, and hemolytic anemia.
4. Cumulative Exposure, such as when the dogs consumes it every day, is where the dangers lie.
5. The conclusion says it is highly toxic but “probably safe”.This is some nasty stuff. I hate that my dog likes this food.

I like that you both went with the idea that if he’s happy and healthy on this food, then is a good food for him and I think that’s how I am going to look at it until I can find a better quality food that he’ll eat daily.I had some ingredient specific question about the Purina Pro Plan Sport and I created a new post in the Dog Food Ingredient forum.
