Anna OMember
I love GSDs! I used to have one that refused to eat anything with bread. He was so funny.
Anna OMemberHi everyone!
I confess: I have not read every post here, but I wanted to chime in on 2 things.
1) Verus has a great food for coat and skin conditions. It’s called Advanced Opticoat. I have Verus foods for years and would recommend it to anyone. The Opticoat helped a rescue who had a pitiful coat.
2) On the skin rash thing: You can mix equal parts of food grade DE powder, Neem powder, and powdered yarrow, put the mixture in a sock, and pat it onto your dog’s coat (EVERYWHERE!) to help with the skin rashes. It will literally work within an hour if the issue is caused by little bugs (like mites).Anna OMemberRemember that what the package says is telling you how much to feed THEIR food. They have done all the calculations for their food based on their formulas. They can’t tell you how much of brand B to feed.
Anna OMemberThere’s a pet food called Verus that’s made in Maryland that works great for dogs with food allergies. Advanced Opticoat is made with seafood. It has no chicken, beef, or grains that might trigger food allergies. Their website will have more information for you.
