I’m with 4FF and Cyndi, for a giant breed, I would err on the side of caution. Most dogs can regulate their uptake of calcium by the time they are 8 months old, but for slower maturing dogs, I would give them extra time rather than find out when it’s too late that I should have. You want to wait until they have achieved at least 80% of their adult size and have finished all of their rapid growth phases. For a giant breed, that should be around 18 months.
