I’m soooooo thankful I just found your website.
I have a 9 year old border collie that was diagnosed with diabetes 6-months ago. We have been monitoring her blood sugar 2x daily and insulin injections 2x daily. I was told by my vet to feed her Pedigree Choice Cuts in Gravy (beef and chicken)…..as this is what she feeds her diabetic dog. After reading your review I am worried that this is not beneficial to her. She no longer is given any dry food due to the carbs…and I often give her beef liver I purchase from the local butcher. Her numbers seem to be more stable on the canned food?!?@? “What’s a mother to do”???

Hi Zayda… Unfortunately, Pedigree Puppy’s ingredients are still notably below average. Whether it’s a 1 or 2 star product, we still can’t recommend it.

Pedigree canned for puppies has slightly better ingredients than the adult canned food. Would it still be rated as 2 stars?
