My puppy is 5 months old now and doing great on orijen. She has not had soft stools at all except the day after thanksgiving when we fed her a lot of turkey which was our fault. I would suggest mixing a couple teaspoons of pure pumpkin with your dogs food and that should firm the stools up while your dog gets use to orijen. If you feel like orijen is too rich try Acana its supposed to be good food too. Only you can decide which food is best for your dog. Bella (our pup) has issues getting enough calories in and orijen helps her because she finds it tasty and it's high calorie. She has it free choice since she is skinny, but make sure your not over feeding your lab. Too much food can cause soft stools too.
