I had given my dog almost a whole bottle before finding out they had been recalled. She had been throwing up some and had some diarrhea, but got really bad over the weekend. The vet diagnosed her with Hepatitus, which can be caused by Salmonella poisoning in dogs. She has been in the hospital since Monday. I have had her for 12 yrs and I am absolutely furious. When I called the company, the rep was nonchallent about it. I am so mad! Think I will sue the pants off of them!

Hi Crystal... I wish I could help you more but the best way to get an answer to your question would be to call ProPet at 800-664-7387. Hope this helps.

We have a three year old English Mastiff. I purchased these tablets that are included in the recall. I have given her maybe ten or more of these tablets, thank goodness I have been busy remodeling our house and haven't remembered her or my vitamins regularly. She doesn't seem sick other than she digs at her skin all the time. I don't think this is a sign of salmonella. But, what do I need to do to make sure she is safe? We also have a male cat in the house he's been acting crazy. like attacking me for no reason and right before wanting to love all over me. I think it's because we need to get him neatured but it wouldn't be salmonella from her would it? It said the animal taking it though seeming healthy can be a carrier.

My Westie just died of acute renal failure with blood values skyrocketing that 3 vets could not explain after treatment. He consumed many of the Pet Pro Senior and Adult Dog Vitamins, as these were the only things he would eat. I thought I was providing him added nutrition. My vet will be investigating with the company, as he too is concerned that this is what cause the swift illness and resulting death of our baby.
